Engineer/Tech in Pensacola

WAVEnet technologies is seeking a network engineer/technician to be based in our Pensacola office.

Ideal candidate will:

• Take individual responsibility for resolving network-related issues as reported by customers.
• Create and maintain processes and technical documentation for all relevant processes and technologies.
• Be expected to travel between Mobile,Pensacola/Ft Walton/Panama City areas for end user support as needed.
• Have knowledge of networking systems including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, T1s, wireless networking and VOIP phone systems.
• Have knowledge of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; ability to configure DNS, Windows host networking and local and network based user and group accounts and permissions.
• Demonstrate strong written/verbal skills. This should include experience in designing, documenting and writing deliverable plans for enterprise implementations. Visio diagramming & network documentation knowledge required.
• Demonstrate the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate may become the technical lead on short term projects. This will require experience with and a broad understanding of their implementation and coordination. May also include working in a team environment requiring vendor and contractor coordination.
• Technican will be responsible for primary network support for customer site supporting firewalls, routers, DSL/cable/T1/fiber connectivity, VPN's, windows domain environments(active directory, desktop integration, group policy, desktop integration, standard & specialized applications), network security, and more.
• CCNA/MCSE preferred, but not a requirement.
